“ This a review of the NEW LOCATION at 66 Hidalgo. Most of the pics and reviews here on Google Maps is of the old location. First of all, what a WONDERFUL location in the heart of Centro! The outdoor "beer garden" is very inviting, and fun place to have a beer (or cocktail or wine). We only sampled a bit of the food, having the beet salad and the veggie burger, but each was delicious. We will definitely be back! ”

“ Came in for lunch. Relaxing shaded back patio. Servers spoke English and brought an English menu. Servers were good but with only 3 tables with guests and two servers I would have appreciated more frequent visits to the patio ( long long wait to ask for the check). Their signature hamburger was outstanding. They make the buns in house. They also make their own ice cream. Sri is were good. Extensive beer selection in bottles and five beers on tap. My draft IPA was great. ”

I indulged in their delicious “Juicy Lucy” burger, and I have to say—it tops my list of favorite burgers in San Miguel de Allende. Flame-broiled over mesquite wood and cooked to perfection, this burger is a must-try. Served with crispy fries and all the fixings. My wife had the half chicken dish, which came with creamy puree and a fresh, colourful salad — perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with both indoor and garden seating. The staff are friendly, speak both Spanish and English, and made us feel right at home. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which added a lovely personal touch to the whole experience. If you’re in San Miguel de Allende and looking for great food, local beer, and warm hospitality, Bastardo is a must. We’ll definitely be coming back! ”
